I've decided to go with a single JL sub but can't decide between the 12" 6 or 7 series. See links below for the "JL ProWedge" boxes w/sub I'm considering for my B6 trunk (I prefer to buy as one piece for my stock non-BOSE system). They also make a 13". Has anyone compared them or have them? Your thoughts? Is the W7 worth the extra money? Any reliable places sell these online for less money than Tweeter (local store and installer)? They are gonna do the install, I don't trust anyone else with my car.
Also, do you guys recommend the JL 500/1 mono amp, it's damn expensive though? thx

and in one, the whole front face just fell off. I switched to powerbase and I couldn't be happier. My one 12' pb bumps harder than the 3 10' JL's, i kid you not. The JL's are in my gf's car, but still. I definately recommend powerbase over JL.

and they did a wonderful job. I have a stock non bose stereo and was pretty satisfied so I went with that radio. They installed JL 300X4 and MB Quart components in all doors (mid and tweet), JL Audio 500X1 and a JL 10W6v2.
I really thought about the 10W7 but it was very expensive in the box made for it. The quarts sound incredible and the sub is nuts. I didn't think a 10 would hit like that. My objective was to keep the clarity of the stock stereo but just louder and no rattling. Our stereo goes up to 30 I wanted it to seem like it went to 60 with more low end punch. The set up I bought is exactly that. Good crisp highs very good midrange and that 10W6v2 hits hard for me. I had them dynamat all the doors and the trunk lid and the license plate and frame so no rattling. As far as tweeter goes, they were very proffesional and tuned everything the way I wanted it. The installer said he was suprised the stock head unit performed as well as it does. All in all the 10W6v2 out performed my expectations of what I thought a 10 would sound like. I hope that helps at the expense of being long winded. Post up what you decide to do.

and I won't get a digital amplifier
it just doesn't sound as good as class AB amp
and i heard that w6v2 is more musical wise than W7 which is more on the MAD BASS side
