Default Just finish replacing the cam tensioner gasket along with valve cover gasket

Well I just finish replacing the cam tensioner gasket. I noticed little bit of oil drip on the back of the engine and sometimes smell some burning oil. Anyways I just replaced the gasket and found out that the gasket is quite soft. Replaced the gasket and it solved the problem!

Anyways here are some pics :

Pretty clean eh? I guess 5k oil changes certainly does help...62k miles now..

Before doing the gasket be sure to mark the chains.

Apparently my tech has a cam lock tool

Default Negative no autorx or treatment.

From the day I got to my car, I think I swapped out the engine oil that came out of my car about 3k? or 5k? miles to Mobil 1. Then for the next 3 oil changes at 5k each I used Redline, then switched to Motul 8100 then Elf Excellum.

Default Was that the 0W40 8100 with ETech Ester?

I've been running that since about 20K.

I wished I changed my factory fill at 5K, but did the 10K as AoA was recommending. I've changed at 5K intervals since then starting with Mobil1 0W40, then switched to the Motul which I really like.

Like I mentioned, that is very clean...you should feel good about that.
