Just fitted 18s, considering Eibach 30mm lowering - problems?
Just fitted 235/40/18s and of course my stock A4 (normal suspension) looks like it has a massive gap between the arches and the wheels.
I've read up on Eibachs and these seem to be the way to go to lower (with the caveat of replacing the shocks ). Anyone had problems with speeed bumps etc with 18s and the Eibachs? I know the standard sports suspension is about 0.4" higher so I'm worried.
BTW: On the shocks issue, I've searched and heard the 10,000 mile figure being thrown around as a "life of shocks with Eibachs" figure. Is this true? I'd hate to go to the expense of replacing the shocks, I'm a "ride/looks" oriented driver rather than handling (though I'd love to reduce body roll).

Re: Didn't answer your other question...you should be OK as far as rubbing goes with the 235 18s.
Thanks man, yup, looks like I'll have to spring for shocks too. Might give my existing setup a bit more time then, the car is practically new.

Oh, it was a demo. I guess.

I might have some shocks and springs for you
I know this is off topic, but I have some Koni's and Eibachs with about 5k miles on them that I am looking to get rid of. They are of a b6 3.0. Email me if interested mkupch1@comcast.net

Replace the shocks now or replace em later ... I ran Eibachs in 2 Audi's
I ran em in my 2000 and my 2002 and in both cars it was only a matter of time before the ride quality was seriousily degraded. And for most there is no sense in paying for a near identical install a second time if you choose to do shocks later on.
