the dip stick tubes. There is that thin metal rod inside the two dip stick tubes, and when i recieved mine i noticed a brown residue inside those tubes. Possibley from oxidation or rust from the metal. Is that normal? Want to make sure its ok to use before i stick it down into my engine. thanks

One thing to note: I initially put my tube in too far, and after about 1 liter, the flow slowed to a trickle. I'd recommend measuring the dip stick against the tube, and inserting the tube about as far down into the engine as the dip stick, give or take an inch or two. I found that get to get all the oil (4 liters worth), I had to move the tube a little here and there. Had I started at dip stick level, adjustments might have been little or none. Make sure the engine is at least warm, if not hot, the oil will flow much better.
Also, keep the Pela out in case you over fill (which I found easy to do, even though I measured 4.2l of oil). By not changing the filter, some oil is retained, but you don't know how much until you turn the car over, drive it a bit, then remeasure.
I was really pleased with the product and the results, and I think you will be too.
