Default Just installed APR Stage 1+

..and all I can say is wow!.. I highly recommend this upgrade to anyone with a B6. I had the Stage 1 for about 3 weeks, and this was well worth the money! Talk about some serious gains in torque!!

Congrats. Think about upgrading your intercooler.

Default Ahhh, questions...

I really need to get this done on my car.

Which injectors did you go with?
How is your MPG now?
How are the gains / response / torque etc. under 30mph?

I feel like I'm dragging a boulder around till I get up to a good sprint.

Did you buy the injectors from the person I referred you to?

Default Honestly, I didn't notice a big difference...

...between stage 1, and stage 1+. However, I have tiptronic, so that is probably eating up some of my gains. Also, I have GIAC FX, so maybe that's not as good as APR.

I'm hoping that an HFC and exhaust will give me the 'power' that so many have been raving about. An FMIC would probably help as well.

Default Re: Ahhh, questions...

I went with Bosch TT225 injectors. I bought them from a person that 'A4Stock' referred me to. (340 dollars shipped)
My miles to gallon on the interestate is 31.2 Around town is about 26-27. However with the updated injectors/ chip; when you really press on the pedal it REALLLLLY sucks gas (obviously).

I don't have a boost gauge, but the difference between stock and stage 1 was very noticable. Stage 1+ makes me feel like I just gained another 40 HP. The torque is definately noticable, and it will suck you back in your seat (honestly). My car has 25,000 miles on it.

The acceleration response is alot better as well.

Default Also...

I haven't upgraded my Diverter valve which is highly recommended.

It seems fine now, but i'm sure the stock valve will eventually go with all this added pressure.

I did thank you. Actually when I brought them to the APR installer in Charlotte, the guy pulled them out the box and made a smart *** comment about them being made in China.. Oh well.. he was probably mad because I didn't buy them from him for 500.

Default Exhaust will open it up a little more...

From what I've read, and HFC doesn't add physical power (i.e. HP/TQ numbers)

Default Thanks for the info. I'm really looking fwd to going to 1 or maybe 1+ after brakes are in...

Made a deal w/myself to do em before any speedy upgrades.

I was leaning against 1+ due to possible turbo implosion, but maybe it's worth it after all.
