Well, I just bought the most expensive present in my life. At $31,000 I hope my new A4 is worth it. With Christmas coming up and my birthday a week later I figured it was time to upgrade my faithful Maxima which I've had for 10 years.

The dealer said if they had to put in a brand new order to the factory it wouldn't be here until late Feburary. Hopefully, they can change an order going to production this week or reroute a car on a boat coming across the pond now. BTW, the salesperson said if they could re-route a car coming off a boat that depending on the port it went to that it could cost $600 to have it sent to Atlanta. Is this legit or another scam by the dealer?

Now that I've committed to buying a car I can't wait. I hope I can get the car soon.

For those of you interested I got a Dolphin Grey/Platinum 1.8T with tip, Quattro, Bose, Sunroof, Sport, Premium, and Xenon. I paid 30,999 (30,600 base + 399 service charge) which turns out to be a little above 5% above invoice. A fair deal, but not a great one; however to me it wasn't worth wasting another couple of hours to get that extra 1%.

Congratulations! I myself am picking up my 2001 A4 tomorrow! A 3.0, manual 6-speed Ming Blue, heated ebony leather interior with the sport package. Very excited, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel.

I bought mine while it was still on the boat, last week. Arrived two days ago. (They didn't expect it until January). Going to pick it up today. Wanted to pick it up yesterday, but I didn't have the time...
