I better like these tires! I really wanted the Pilot Sport PS2's, but $50 extra a tire for something I'm going to wear down in 8k miles is hard to justify.
I've actually been happy with the Sport Contact 2's as they have had good grip in the dry and rain, and were a nice riding and quiet tire (as far as HP tires go.) Even now that they are down to the wear bars they are still giving good wet traction and fairly low noise. The only thing I did not like about them was the tramlining and the low tread wear (8k miles - mostly my fault, I'm sure.)
The F1's should handle better, last a little longer, and should be comperable in the ride/noise category (crosses fingers.) And they were a little less $ than another set of CSC2's. I'm just hoping they don't loose their wet traction or get real noisy as they age (did not see much mention of this.)

I've noticed only a slight increase in noise, but its so negligable. The wet grip after 10k is still as good as day one. I had switched them off a month ago to put on my Nokians for the Tahoe trips. Now its a love hate relationship. I love being able to go to Tahoe and hit the slopes. But I really miss having my car on GY tires.

i've had mine for 15,000 miles and they're awesome. they handle in the wet the way the Sport Contanct 2s handle in the dry! and they handle better than the Pilot Sport 2s but are less expensive because they are made in Germany (the Pilot Sports are made in the USA) And boy do these puppies last! I've still got another 15,000 miles to go and i drive like a ****ing animal!

I had them on my '02 A4 last summer. Put 20,000 miles on them and 2 hard days on the track. They did get noisy at the end, but that was more due to the uneven wear caused from the track days.
This summer, I'm getting them again, but I'll also get separate tires and wheels for track days. That should maximize tread wear and possibly last for two summers. =)
They're comfortable, quiet, and excellent grip in dry and wet road conditions (wet roads seem like dry roads with these on).
