Default Just ordered a timing belt kit...

You think I should DIY it or shake loose with a few hundred bucks and have the local german shop do it? (they do good work, they're all ex audi techs)
Keep in mind I'm cheap.

Coming up on 60k so I think it's time.

Default i had mine done.

Might as well get the rest of the stuff done as well while the nose is off.

i'm cheap but my time is worth more doing other tasks lol.

not like it adds anything to the process. I did forget to order one though, oopssss.

Default Don't use G-12...

My posts on this are far too long to retype. Search the B5 Forum. G-12 is obsolete. Get new G-12 Plus or Mercedes/Xerex G-05, Hybrid Organic Acid Technology. Ford and Chevy are quitting Dexcool, unsilicated Organic Acid Technology. G-12 = Dexcool. Water pumps corrode and sieze and rediators leak on OAT coolants. I use G-05. End Transmission.
