The short answer..for my fitment on a 19X8.5, the rim protector is not very effective on a 235/35/19 T1R tire. Stay far away from curbs with this one.

It all depends on what suspension you have, how low you go, what wheel offset, what size wheel, what tire and its tread width and sidewall strength. Having said that...if you don't plan to go too low with your car...you might want to try the 255/30/19 T1-R. But, just be prepared to deal with the consequences of a 30 profile tire..it really doesn't like potholes AT ALL, and the tire price can be hefty. Look on Toyo's website for the tire dimensions comparing the 235/35/19 and the 255/30/19. There is also a 245/35/19, just to put in more options to the mix.
