What type of killing do you think they make on this tool? Not to say they are screwing us, the VAG comm is worth every penny and I highly recomend it. If you think that 5% of all Audis and VWs sold in the last 5 years have the Vag Comm we must have made this guy incredibly rich.

I only wish the market for VAG-COM was 5% of the VW/Audi owners, but it isn't. In fact, that would overestimate our sales to date by more than an order of magnitude. Now I wouldn't be surprised if we've sold VAG-COM to 5% of the people who are regulars on the big forums like AudiWorld and VWVortex, but only a few percent of VW/Audi owners ever visit these forums. I figure the maximum market potential is 1% of the owners and I expect it will take several more years before we get there.

Now I wouldn't mind being incredibly rich, but selling VAG-COM to individual enthusiasts/owners at $200 a system isn't the way to do it -- nor was it ever intended to. We do plan to grow the company in other directions that have better margins, but don't let that bother you, we know where our roots are.

As far as our house -- we've lived here since 1988. We did a considerable "addition" to it in in 1996/1997 -- several years before Ross-Tech came into existence. I'm 43 years old and both my wife and I both made a decent income working for other people for roughly 20 years.
