Default K&N air filter

I'm pretty new here and I'm not really looking for heavy mods but I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on installing a K&N air filter. I have an '03 1.8TQM.

Thanks

Default I've got one. I think it does help the car breathe a bit better

and it seemed after I installed it that the car would have just a little more jump (or less hesitation) when I'd hit the gas.

But having said that, it's not a huge, noticeable difference. I don't think I'd buy one if I had to do it all over again.

Default I have 1 and I have 1 on all my other cars

Just by comparing the thickness of the stock filter to K&N filter, the K&N should flow better.
And the K&N is much easier to remove/install than the thick stock filter.
