Default K&N and Wetterauer on 03 A4 3.0 -- Maf sensor issue!?

Bought the A4 earlier this week... Mods are on the way... Anybody out there have put a K&N filter on a 02-03 A4 *3.0*? I've seen a lot of thread using the search engine with a K&N filter on a 1.8t but none on a 3.0. Does somebody had a problem with their maf sensor after installing the K&N filter on a 3.0 engine?

Also, i'm planning to put a Wetterauer soft. update to the ECU. Does it void the warranty? They answered me that it keeps the red line, and all the major things but should I go with it or I should buy a extra ECU and keep the original unmodified?

Thank's,

Sylvain

Default I've been told that they have the same airfilter install...can anyone verify this?

Also, from what I gather, the problems with the MAF sensor is when people over-oil their filters after cleaning them, and the oil destroys the sensor. I put mine in my 1.8 and have had no problems, yet. It has only been a week or two, though.

Default I'm sure it will.

I know nothing about cars, and I figured it out, so it shouldn't be too bad at all.

My local independent shop told me there's an Audi tech bulletin on the K&N and that installation will void your MAF sensor warranty. The MAF sensor doesn't like the oil that can be sucked from the K&N.
