For starters lag is how long it takes to spool has nothing to do with the redline

if you want ot make power its what you deal with.. 4K in the grand scheme of things is not that bad.
secondly you can rev them to 7k at least so thats 3K rpm of just as much torque and double chipped hp.
You will actually end up with more area under the curve and a much faster car. Takes some getting used to.

wouldn't exactly call either of those forums the place to go for pushing the envelope
as far as I know I actually built the first 3076 b6 and that was a year and a half ago.
not my car mind you...but that one was all over audizine, and I could have sworn there are a handful of others since then.
also built a GTI with a 3076 that eventually did 400 to two wheels on 93 octane. And a another one with a 30something didn't spec it so I realy don't know.
