Default K04 on CVT

Is there anyone out there running a K04 on a CVT trans. If so have you had any problems with the upgrade, also can I get a K04 and injectors without FMIC????

Default CVT is no good for huge upgrades

at least thats what I hear... supposedly the transmission can't handle a whole lot of hp. And its not cheap to repair or replace your cvt trans.

I know CVT's tend to break but I have heard of people getting K04's on CVT cars. Maybe they are not all fragile, maybe its just the older ones??

Default If you upgrade 1) dyno it and 2) be prepared for it to shut down the fuel pump.

1) My ECU software was tuned on a MAHA dyno to keep it under the torque sensor fuel pump cutoff point.

2) If you exceed the limit and the sensor cuts off your fuel, it can feel like the car just died. If it doesn't recover fast enough or you substantially overshoot the limit point you'll either a) go into limp mode or b) break something faster than the limiter can protect the transmission.

Higher HP/Torque engine mods are best left to a 6-speed.

A CVT trans is about $7000.

Default Exactly! 220/200 HP/Torque is about as far as you want to safely go with a CVT.

I went the BEX 190 HP tweaked route. The turbo, DSMIC, and injectors are BEX while the software is German for that engine with the CVT and then checked/tweaked on a MAHA dyno.
