Anybody got a 1.8T with that setup? I'd like to see some pics. How's the ride? I have stock sport now and while I am not looking to lower the car I'd like a bit less roll.

That would give you barely a noticeable difference in ride height, a relatively smooth ride, and a bit of additional dampening. cheers! Mike

i understand the koni's arent much $$ and will be same work to put the shocks and springs in as just the springs, but you would save little money...

What will I gain or lose if I go with a slightly used set of stock sport shocks in place of the Bilsteins?
I'm pretty sold on the H&R springs for lowering what some people call my Audi SUV.

your height really wont be affected by using used shock compared to new bilsteins. the oem sports will be more comfortable i believe but will allow for a little more body roll. also the bilsteins from what has been posted are a pretty firm shock i myself went with the koni because of price, adjustable dampening, and reputaion. only thing you will miss if you go wit bilsteins will be the adjustability of dampening however iirc you can purchased pre perched or grooved bilsteins, but they cost slightly more. if you concerned with purchasing used set of shocks just make sure they are low on miles. they can really take a lot of abuse so i wouldnt be worried that they are going to fail you. if you have any more questions email me.

I had the non sport set up, the ride is sweet, little or no body roll but you have to be very careful over rough ground, speed ramps & curbs as the car is very low. I fitted the Konis at the factory setting and its very comfortable, I have 18's with a 35 off set and there is no rubbing even with 5 adults in the car.
