Default KW V2 Owners, How do you adjust the front shock for rebound?

I spoke to KW and they said to compress the shock and turn the rod with a small allen wrench, is this right? the rod that the allen wrench turns can turn even if the shock isn't compressed

Default

Correct - it works. Make certain the shock is FULLY compressed.

Default What happens if the shock is fully compressed. it seems fairly straight forward but

i don't want to find out i did it wrong after the suspension is in.

Default IIRC we just turned it a $hitload while compressed, but then backed it off a few turns.

To be honest I can't remember completely, it's been at least a few months. Try emailing TommyV in the Chicago forum - it was his buddy John's car that we were working on.

Default Piston needs to be compressed so that the other end engages the

adjuster mechanism inside the shock body. If you don't have the piston compressed all the way, you won't make any changes to the dampening when rotating the piston.

Default You cannot feel any tactile sensation of resistance or system engaging though right Raj?

Kinda need to wing it IIRC

Default you can feel the resistance once it engages - and you should be able

to rotate it until it stops (full soft or full hard depending on direction).

Default Best thing to do, is bring it back down to full soft...

you'll feel a hard stop (which should enough feedback to let you know you're doing it right), then adjust "X turns" from full soft.

Obviously, if you don't know the current setting, count the number of turns from it's initial setting to full soft, so you have a baseline, then add or subtract from that baseline as necessary when you set it at it's final setting.
