Default Leaking Steering Rack

My steering rack is leaking on my 2002 A4 1.8T and needs to be replaced. I've searched the forums and DIY but can't find anything. Does anyone have the proceedure to remove and replace? Thanks.

Doesn't anyone have a Bentley Repair Manual that you could scan for me? I sure could use your help. Thanks

Thanks Theodore. It is leaking from somewhere on the passenger side of Item #1 (steering rack assembly) can't tell for sure exactly where though because of the limited access. I bought a Bentley Manual right after buying the car (4 years ago). But shortly after loading it onto my computer, the computer died. Bought a new computer but it has Windows Vista which is not compatible with Bentley. So I'm screwed. Any help in how to access this rack to see where it is leaking or in removal would be great. Can't see spending $1800.00 to have someone else do this when I am perfectly capable.

i would love to be able to cut and paste the entire instructions but there is a lot of them. sorry but the software only allows a prn file to save and it's about useless to attach it and print screen only works so well. #1is the power assist gear acording to the manual

Thanks for trying. What about a fax or e-mail?
