Default Is the leather in the 1.8T premium package the same as the standard seats on the 3.0?
I was definitely going to get the 3.0 but I recently found out you can get the 1.8T w/ real leather. This changes everything a I hated the leatherette. Any suggestions on whether I should chip a 1.8T (most likely tip) or whether I should fork over the extra 5 grand for the 3.0?

Yes. The 1.8T Premium Package includes "leather seating inserts". With the 3.0, you can choose between the standard cloth or the standard "leather seating inserts". Premium leather is not available on the 1.8T.

You can double-check at audiusa.com or cars.com.

Cloth not available on '03 3.0. Leatherette with Leather seating inserts standard. Leather optional

Default Full leather available on 3.0 (seatbacks, etc.). Optional leather ....
...seating surfaces on the 1.8T, not full leather.

Default I've heard quotes of around $1200
Not bad, about the cost of the actual option at purchase time. And supposedly, the leather is better.
