no, vinyl, I heard it's basically developed by Mercedes Benz (MB Tex?)

It's a high quality vinyl. The reason why you can't tell the difference is b/c 99% of the population can't tell by touch.

One good but not 100% way to tell is to squeeze or fold the material on itself. If you see fine wrinkles it's probably leather if not then it's pleather.
