Leatherette seats...opinions on conditioning these seats????

Default Oil vs water based silicones....

303 is a water based silicone which is easier on the paint (should any get on there) and also doesn't prevent blooming of the tires, which keeps those cracks from forming due to UV radiation. I use 303 for tires and interior vinyl.

Vinylex is I believe also a water based polydimethyl siloxane (PDMS) silicone, so it does not prevent blooming or cause browning.

Oil (or solvent/petroleum) based silicone dressings have petroleum distillates that accumulate over time and have a browning effect as it traps dirt and prevents blooming from occurring. I would not recommend these types of dressings - they particularly are the high gloss type that claim to last months.
