Default Left turn signal acting up - works initially - but then front bulb quits and blinker speeds up.....

got the little symbol and message that the bulb was out. However, upon starting the car - the turn signal works fine. Once I drive it - then it acts up and doesn't work - and the blinker intervals noticably speed up. It looks like I have to remove the headlight to check the bulb - thinking loose connection or bulb or something like that. Anyone else have this problem?

Default I have had a false warning before...or at least I thought it was false.

I didn't have time to screw with it, went to work, then at lunch fired the car up and no warning...then this last weekend it warned me again that it was out (same light) and it really was. Maybe check the bulb, are the fronts dual filament?

Default yup. they replaced my headlights once due to fogging.

and the second set they gave me had a problem with the turn sig showing as being out. Something about not getting good contact with bulb. They fixed but it was only good for about month. I just ended up buying ecodes, no problems now.

Default Yes, same issue.

The dealer replaced the left and right front blinker bulb sockets. Both have been fine for over a year now. Must have been a batch of faulty parts at one time.

Default Do I have to remove the headlight to replace the bulb?

I looked and it looks tight in there - its the drivers side.

Default Had the same thing happen...

I've actually had one bulb blow out and replaced. Since then, the left front turn signal would sporatically fail to work. When they looked at it last, they noticed a lot of carbon buildup around the contacts (proabably a result from the previous bulb blowing out). The contacts were cleaned, and no faulty signal yet.

Thanks - I was thinking loose bulb, or bad contacts or connection
