Default Remember dealer needs to program new key into your A4 to start the car.

The new key won't start the car. Thus the car needs to go to the dealer. You should be able to open the door with the new key and retrieve your old key to start the car and drive to the dealer to program the new key if you wished to use the new key to start your car. During the programming they will purge all your old 3 keys info from the anti-thief system and will only program the keys you physically give them at the time of programming. Thus, your 2 misplaced keys will not be programmed into the car and they will never start your car again! This is a plus if you lost the two other keys with someone finding them and they try to steal your car it won't start.

omg, that sounds horrible, especially since Audi doors seal tighter than Jeeps.

I hear that, I didn't even know there was a keyhole on the trunk!

Default Wish I could do that with VAGcom. ;(

Cause I sure don't want to pay the dealer any more bread.

Default Update new key part of fob ordered; $76, should be at dealer tomorrow.

They would not ship it to me at my house for obvious reasons. No problems getting the dealer to order it to me with proof of ownership and an ID. Thank god I own my own car and don't have payments anymore.

If I cannot find the other fobs in the glove box or my backpack, I'll go get the new key programed and order a new remote. ($107)

Jesus what an ordeal. And I despise driving that sweat hog of a Durango that my girlfriend owns, but thank goodness she had it.
