I not up to par on terms... so you suggest to use the OEM gasket vs. the one SPP supplied us with? thanks

Default yes, use the factory gasket. It is a tiny bit softer thus

allowing the bulb to compress into the housing better. The aftermarket H11 uses a hard gasket in an attempt to ensure a super tight seal. But this obviosuly can cause breakages if the bulb is not flush and someone twists thinking its in ok.

This is what is happending on all breakages, I guarantee it.

The stock gasket must be ok for Audi so I went with it. Then reinstalling the bulb was cake.

I did use the OEM gasket. I switched it out.
