Lastweek.I did the magnetic bumper trick by glueing magnet plates at the backside of my front bumper...That way I just stick the front L.plate as it magnetically attaches when I'm parked downtown .....and not be fined by them wicked meter maids.
Obviously I did the mod in the intention that I will only attach the front plate when parked.
Yesterday Unfortunateley...I forgot to remove them and stowe it back in my trunk when doing a few errands while driving home from work.....I thought I heard something fell & "clanging" underneath my car,but it did'nt register to me that it was my front plates finally coming loose on the highway...I just realized its gone this morning when I parked at downtown & looked for my front plates....*sigh*...
Can you get away by attaching a "Eurostyle" front plate in California?...as long as it also shows the same license number of the original?

what about having a Euro front plate and having a Cali front sitting in the window when the car is parked.
It would **** me off to be required to have a front plate (other then a euro front plate)

your exact license number. However (knock on wood), I have a euro plate velcro'd to my front bumper and never had a problem with law enforcement. A cop has to be completely bored to pull you over for not have a front plate or none cali provided state plate.
Never had the plate fall off due to driving conditions, but at the car wash is a different story. When they put the blowers on the car to dry it, my plate will fly right off.

Those seemed like they would do the trick. Even at highway speeds (though you did just upgrade to K04, are you keeping it under 110mph? ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
And on the Europlate replacement, anything short of California plates is against the law. I have the Europlate with my CA license plate, and the last police officer to give me ticket commented on it.
SFPD: "So, what country is that thing from anyway?"
ColdUSP:"Germany. But it even has my Cali license plate numbers and letters."
SFPD:"Right on. Here's your citation."
