With the lower torque and HP numbers of the APR stage 1 chip, would you still need a snub mount?

It's only 200HP and 230 lb/ft of torque while others are doing 215 and 260 lb/ft. Is the snub mount still needed on the 04 6 speed?

Default Noob looking for advice on 1.8T power addition...

Ok, I had a '98 B5 3.0 Quattro and now bought a 2004 1.8T Quattro Ultra Sport. I gave up the V6 for the Ultra Sport as my wife likes the look and this car is for her. I want to add back some power if possible, but not go crazy. What is an easy mod to bring up the power without having to go through a lot of trouble? Where would I find someone to install a chip? I don't want to take much risk to add power...but who doesn't want more power?

you dont need a snub mount, the snub mount has to do w/ your shifting (smoother).

Alright then. So i guess it's best to go with APR snub over the Neuspeed or OEM solution?

Yes, APR is the better choice.

Default Or save some money and modify the Neuspeed a bit

A grinder and drill will fix up the neuspeed...
