Default I need to find the PR code for S-line/Ultrasport using the steering wheel....I forget what the PR

code is. Without it I couldn't find the correct part in the catalog.

IIRC 2k8 is the only one I found (but I think it's ultrasport bumper)

Default '04 S4 Tip has wheel with shift padels.

The '04 S4 Tip comes stock with the perf leather and shift padels. I think if you look up steering wheels in the ETKA, there will be a wheel listed like "For six speed manual trans" and anouther for "With Tiptronic".
Any chance you could post the PN for the wheel with shift padels?

I could be wrong.

Default A4 S-Line wheel has shift paddles too

I imagine that this would be a difficult mod as there is unlikely to be wiring in the steering column?

Default Since many tips come with the buttons on the wheel, I'm sure the connection is similar...

there would be wiring already there. Are you sure they are paddles because a friend of mine has the S-line Tiptronic wheel that came with this Ultrasport and they are buttons and not paddles.

Default B7 S-line A4 has paddles, B6 doesn't.

I think the 2004 and 2005 (B6) S4's have paddles, and the B7 S4 definitely does.

I have a B7 tip (no paddles) and getting them is probably the mod I want to do the most, but since I don't have shift buttons on the wheel I think it is going to be more complicated than just swapping wheels.

Default Yes, in fact my '03 A4 Tip has no buttons for anything on the wheel...(more).

And it has the "Steering Wheel Electronics Control Module" allready factory installed. This module interfaces the steering wheel with the TCU via the powertrain CAN bus. In function, to Tip up or down, simple switch closures are used. (When Tipping with the shift lever, Hall Sensors under the silver trim plate are used.) Same principle, buttons or paddles. I have a hunch that the '04 S4 wheel w/paddles is practically plug and play. Careful wiring diagram study will confirm or not if this is true.
I'm wanting this setup like BAD!
