lumbar support installation

lumbar support installation
is it possible to install lumbar support into seats which don't have them? currently my seats have them and they're not electric or heated, the new seats i'm looking at are leather and are not electric and heated as well, but don't have the lumbar support. would it be an issue if my current seats' seat is 3 part (you can extend the front thing), but those other seats aren't?

What year, model and engine is your car? The only leather for a 1.8T is the middle insert. The bolsters on both the upper and lower are vinyl hence the cracking. On some V6’s, one of the options were full leather centers and bolsters, so yes, you can take a skin, upper or lower, from any B6 and swap it to another B6 keeping the heated seats and/or lumbar that the current seat has if the donor seat didn’t come with it.

North America didn’t get the 3 part seat in the A4. If you are looking to retain the lumbar, you’d have to swap the entire seat back then swap skins. Why are you wanting to switch seats in the first place? You never said why. The seat you pictured seem to be in good shape.

haha those aren't my pictures, but mine are good as well. the leather seats were red, custom made with red door panels and arm rest as well and for a cheap price too. maybe do you also know, if i were to install clock spring and steering wheel from b7 into b6, would i have issues with airbag, would it deploy, perhaps airbag light would be on and i'd need programming?

You’ll have to search the net for the steering wheel. The only way I can see you retaining lumbar is to swap entire seat backs and swap skins.
