I went to the National air and space museum the other day at Dulles, and it was really awesome if you are into airplanes..
Since the 911 stuff, they put up all kind of pointless 'anti-terrorist' devices (a total was of money if you ask me). Included in that was a movable steel barrier that can be put up to block the passenger drop off lane.. Well, It works even in the down position. Even though I went slow over it, coming down, steel posts drove into the subframe, and broke the outside of the rear right mount clean off DANG IT!.
Fortunately, its not enough to comprimise the whole mount, but it really P.O.'d me. Not sure what to do about it yet, or if the museum insurance will cover fixing it.
So, if you like airplanes and have a lowered Audi, DO NOT drop people at the front door!
Grr.

to help prevent others with lowered automobiles that share your affinity for airplanes from running into the same problem. Really sorry to hear about that. You try to be careful at every turn and something like that happens. My favorites are the Phantom and the SR-71. We have a retired phantom in gulfport, MS and there's a retired blackbird at the USS Alabama memorial in Mobile. Fun stuff.

No, becasue I filled up 2 256meg cards at the museum! They took pics though..
I'm not suing anybody regardless though (just don't belive in it. I was driving the car, not them. My 6 year old predicted we wouldn't make it!).
If I can get it covered reasonably, then I will, if not, I'll just leave it alone and chaulk it up to experience.

I didn't take any pics of the gizmo (camera was full)..
I had the double love that I lost one of my two full 256 meg cards with all the museum pics
..
Not likely to post any pics here since they will get deleted and its a pain, but if you have any particulary A/C you like I probably took a pick and could mail it to you.
