2002 A4 1.8T...Ok, I do regular oil changes anywhere between 3,000-5,000 miles. I'm getting ready to do my 2nd timing belt change (water pump also). I recently had my cam seals and some oil seals replaced along the way (oil dipstick tube as well). I'm very happy with my car and especially happy with not having a car payment. I'm going 10 years strong and would like to see her last a while longer. Please give me some items I should look to replace before they fail. What fluids to flush or top off (transmission...etc). I don't really take it in for service much so any assistance would be helpful.

You can search for some audi dealers and check what they will do for factory recommendations for a certain mileage. I did a quick search for you car and they give me the 120k factory recommendation and what to do. I think they have for more miles too. here is an example of what they will do to your car http://www.molleaudi.com/service/xtime.htm I hope this helps, you can also check other dealerships

Thanks for the info. I just want this car to last maximum amount of time. I honestly think it still holds up to newer cars in terms of looks. I love the car but would rather do as many things on my own (with my limited technical ability).

well you asked for some info..I didn;t sent you to the dealearship..I just showed what they will do..and you dont have to make all those things.
Btw last week I changed my fuel filter (I have 114k on mine) and it was never changed. My mechanic said that now the gas is better and there is no need for changing the fuel filter, but it is a cheap fix (original fuel filter-14$ from ecs, we are lucky cause our cars use the older model of fuel filter) and it was pretty much dirt in it, and also in this way you will protect your fuel pump. I say that is an cheap and easy to do and the reward is big..a fuel pump is more expensive and also in the manual says that it has to be changed every 40k. Good luck with your car

I would do all the fluids below. I would make sure and use Audi approved fluids. Myself, I would buy the fluids from the dealer because I believe I have had bad luck with aftermarket fluids, but that's me.
1) Transmission: I don't believe there is any such thing as lifetime fluid as advertised by Audi. I would do this about every 100K unles you have a CVT, and then every 10 minutes...sorry, I exagerate
If you have an automatic / quattro, I am not clear on whether the Torsen shares fluid with the tranny or is separate. It shares on the manual.
2) Rear diff: Ditto 1).
3) Coolant: Need to change this every couple years to keep things working well. Coolant does wear out!!
4) Brake fluid: At least every 50K.
5) PS fluid: If you have had a leak or it looks particularly mucky (technical term or if you suspect something other than the "green" Audi PS fluid is in there.

Trans service, top off front diff, change rear diff fluid. Coolant changes are a waste, stuff is good for 10 years 100k miles, which is same as timing belt intervals, wich you would be replacing the pump and dumping all the coolant.
