Just read in Ward's AutoWorld that Audi USA was talking about dropping the manual trans (just offering DSG) for all but the S and RS models in the future..
If they do, they can kiss my money goodbye. I've had 3 Audis, and without a manual, there will be no 4th (was planning on a B8 A4).
How do we get heard? any ideas? anybody else think this sux?

I have to say that DSG is one hell of a tranny. Its very likely that my next audi will be DSG, my wife can't drive a manual and with kids/dogs a manual isnt exactly ideal. I would thoroughly enjoy a S/RS vehicle with DSG, quick shifts, minimal powerloss through the tranny, ability to have the tranny shift itself. The only downside I see to them putting DSG into an S/RS car is that they would HAVE to have a sport mode in which the TCM could not shift for you at all and you would need to have launch control.
That said, manual should be an option still but a very hard to find option.

They assured me that they would continue to offer manual transmissions in non -S and -RS cars.
Given that the A5 is launching with a manual only here in the U.S. is a good sign I think.
