Default In deeper snow the locking of the wheel helped!!. Audi had a switch right on the dash to

turn off the ABS.... It Was Great!! I miss the hell out of it!! ABS can be very over rated!!

Even the cheapest winter tires will be better in snow than the momst expensive a/s tires imo.

In the last 10 to 15 years... Junk!
It's 2bad! Maybe they still make a good L/T tire...

Default It's the driver. If he ends up in the intersection, he's braking too late.

Just kidding. You need some IceBears.

Default i can relate to this! i thought it was just really cold one time

it was december 2008 last year--easly snow in Tahoe and i drove the car around and braked as normal--going fairly normal bt slower. anyway as soon as i hit the brakes, i expected it to brake as usual bt it didnt. yoou hear the abs kicking in and the car bucking/sliding a little. i have sumitomo htr (forgot the letters) on 17s this year.

last 2 years i had contiextremes on 15s and never experienced that in the snow. i think u guys are right on the tires! i might head back to contis as soon as these go for my winter/a/s tires. good thread!
