Memory Seat problem on new Avant

Memory Seat problem on new Avant
I picked up my 3.0 Avant a week ago and the memory seats were not functional. I brought the car in yesturday and they aren't sure what the problem is but said that the new Avant's are having this problem - they need to "experiment" with my car since it's the first one they've worked on. Has anyone else with an Avant had memory seat problems? I would think that the setup would be the same whether it's a sedan or Avant.

Exactly, I don't know if it's the save function or the recall function or both since it doesn't work at all.

Ah ok - the easy way I tell when it has saved is you'll hear a relay click after you've (more)
held the MEMO and memory number button for about two seconds. Keep us posted on what the dealer finds out for you.

Did the dealer initialize the memory function during PDI ?
We didn't have problems with the Audis, but the VW techs would forget that GLX Passat had memory seats that needed to be initialized.

I'm not sure, I would think that would be the first thing they would check.
When we went through the car with the dealer, he tried to set it up for me and it didn't work. He had tech try, to no avail. That is the last I know. I'm not sure what they've been doing to try to fix it since then - my wife actually took it in yesterday.

Can't actually get the sales guy ON the phone so I mentioned the issue of initializing it on his voice mail. He called my wife (since she dropped it off and has the loaner NEON). He told her they were talking with Audi and will "definately" have it done tomorrow - day 3. I would think that with something electronic in nature like this, you either have a solution which is quick to test, or you don't. This is beginning to get old, and a decent loaner doesn't seem unreasonable.

Sounds Familiar......
I have the exact problem on my A4 3.0 Sedan. Vehicle is 3 weeks old and I have yet to bring it in for evaluation. It has not functioned at all since delivery. I'll suggest they initialize as per April's reccomendation.
