this might be a silly question...
but, without buying LED tails!!!, has anyone heard of somebody making their rear lights a deeper red. I'm just curious to see if there's a way to make the bulbs slightly darker so the light is less pink and more red. maybe it would be more trouble than it's worth. maybe it can't be done. just throwing it out there. if you like it, pick it up. if not, just send it on back.

that's too dark for my taste...
I just want the actual light that come out of the tail lamp to be darker. I'm content with the look of the stock housings...unlike some of us--------->roman ;-)

Well you can tint them very, very lightly.
Check out jonstintedtails.com for the gallery of tinted tails.
I think that if you go really really light, you'll be happy.
I'm planning to do this to my car btw:

There is some spray can tint used for tinting glass, etc, that you could try, but,...
the heat of the lamp, will effect the spray on tint to some degree, for the low heat with the tail lamp on, it will be minimal, the higher temp with the stop lamp will effect the tint more. Try it and find out?----.

I want you to know that those pictures are EXACTLY the look I was trying to recommend. That will be, and I don't ever use this word, SICK!! P.S. Just found a guy selling ecodes in the classifieds, also from Canada. I sent him an email.

I think I will. I'll just pick up two sets of all the bulbs I need...
won't be that expensive. AND if something starts to go wrong I'll just swap 'em out. I don't mind being the guinea pig on this one ;-)
