I got a used one ordered, I also bought an adjustable die-grinder and some carbide dies. Did you follow a specific set of instructions, if you don't mind me asking (I got 3-4 sets of DIY instructions off the internet). Did you do the coating yourself, I'm looking into TechLine products which sell some DIY products, all I need is a sandblaster and an old oven for the curing.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for the info.

I opened up the ports to match the gaskets.
The 4 exhaust ports, and the turbo port.
I also removed any casting imperfections, and smoothed up the ports.
The carbide bit will remove the most material. Grinding stones can be used to follow-up after the carbide, to smooth up the ports.
I sent the manifold off to Jet-Hot for coating.
Jet-Hot's coating is good for 2000 degree's.
If you DIY the coating, you will need to bake it on. Most coatings require 300 degree's for 30 minutes, cool for 30 minutes, 400 for 30 minutes, cool for 30, then 600 for 30, cool.
Some allow curing "on-car" but the fumes and smell may get into your car.
Jet-Hot charged me $100 for the coating and its guarenteed for life. ;O)

http://www.jet-hot.com</a

Buddy had this done on his sub..one night we drove to his shop to look at some front suspension issues. about a 20-30 min drive...put it up on the lift and started looking around.
we were wondering how good the coating was so we tested teh Downpipe...it was still cold. Im impressed for life.

Jet Hot is an amazing product. They did my Buell's exhaust in and out a few years ago. That bike spits fire and the color is as nice as the day I put it on. Good choice.
