When the engine is cold my A4 misfires badly. If you leave it idling when cold, it will run fine for 5 or 10 seconds and then the rpm will suddenly drop down to 600 rpm, almost stalling. Keeps doing those rpm drops when cold. Once it warms up, everything is fine.

I think the first code is general misfire and the rest are misfires on cylinders 2, 3 & 4. Bad coil packs? They were changed under a recall ~60K (35K miles) ago. I changed the plugs not 6 months ago and they're gaped properly so it's probably not the plugs.

Any thoughts?

Do a pressure test to check for a intake pressure leak, that will cause the issues you are describing. Start at the turbo intake, then use soap on the intake hoses.

Thanks for the tip.

The breather hose was shot but even after my mechanic replaced it,
it's still doing it. Must be there are more leaks.
