Default mods and gas mileage

Hi,I was wondering how the addition of a big turbo and big fuel injectors (380 cc or 475 cc) will affect gas mileage. I'd love for my car to be a true SPORT luxury model, but I don't want my 1.8T Quattro to get the gas mileage of a Mustang! Thanks for the info.

I'd appreciate if you would provide a guess on how much lower. I get 22 MPG now (mostly city driving). Would I get 19, 15, or worse MPG after the mods?

Default take gasoline to make power. not air!

you aren't going to get 3.0 power with 1.8T and much better gas mileage if you drive it like its hot lol.

I'd guess 3-4mpg, maybe more if you have a heavy foot or mostly city driving.

Default you are kinda wrong in that respect to a point

take a 1.8 naturally asparated engine and add fuel injectors and you'll get only a little gain. Add a turbo (adds more air to the mix) and you'll get lots more power.

Default i think my point was the energy is stored in the fuel. The air simply allows fuel to burn

Air doesn't affect gas mileage since it is a (semi) free resource.

dont feel bad my non-injector B5 A4 1.8T (m5) chip for 14mpg in the city, but i was on boost 24/7
