<u><b>Job Description</b></u>:
- Responsible for design and development of spark plugs for targeted motorsports applications.
- Attend race events and support customers with onsite technical / engine tuning advice.
- Support spark plug related off-season testing at track and race team shop locations.
- Forecasting of racing spark plug build requirements and assisting with customer order fulfillment.
- Develop and implement strategies that ensure partnership with race teams who's performance is consistent with CPG business goals.
- Support non-motorsports related programs and initiatives that support CPG Business plan for new product and cost reduction efforts.
- Conduct and/or participate in design reviews as required for release of new spark plugs.
<b><u>Qualifications</u></b>:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required
- Experience / demonstrated interest in drag racing and/or stock car racing industry as a participant or team crew member.
- 3 - 5 years experience interest in the design, development or testing of internal combustion engines, engine components or engine sensors strongly preferred.
- Strong bias for action
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service and organization.
- Experience with the use of six sigma tools and concepts.
- PC proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
