Default From local dealers in SoCal (LA, OC)...

I heard there are no dealers in NY, NJ, NC. The closest dealer to you, that I know of, is <a href="http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store.php?method=cat&m=35&sub=1338&thisPage=1#1532 ">HMS Motorsport</a> in MA.

Best thing to do is to call MotulUSA and inquire about the nearest Dist. and/or dealer to you.

Default Motul 8100 Ester E-Tech 0W-40 is fine for the 3.0...

Don't they use the same oil for both 1.8t and 3.0 from factory; 0W-30? You can use that one or a 5W-40. I prefer the Ester E-Tech.

Default Motul 0w-40 shows higher shear than even M1 0w-40. It's not all esters either. Here is the VOA.

Just maybe a lil over-hyped.
Thinner than D1/SUV
Same flashpoint
Lower TBN
No sulphated ash #
Twice the price

Default Thanks Junkie...

I would suspect that with HT/HS tests, that the ester base (and pure ester) would show better results. I'm still waiting on those HT/HS #'s from Motul, as well as the Sulfated Ash #'s.
