My Avant order just got cancelled by AoA
Put deposit down in Mid April. "The system" rejected my order today, though other A4's ordered at the same time by my dealer were not "rejected."
The dealer has not had a return call from AoA yet--they have no idea why it has happened, but the message was no more Avants in 02.

Someone else posted a similar note earlier today...
He said he was told no more Avants were available until the 03s shipped, which meant an Oct delivery. Damn, I ordered my Avant 2 weeks ago, I hope this is not a sign of things to come!

I heard there is a Germna autoworkers strike........Is this true because my A4 Avant was scheduled to be built this week.

Damn. My 4Mo Passat Variant order for '02 got canned too. Ordering can be a PITA. I picked up a used
Avant in a matter of 2-3 days, got a great deal ($19k!) and feel much better. I lost my $1,500 trade-in tax break thanks to LAZY Cherry Hill Audi but the used deal made up for it. What are you going to do now? I did not want to wait for 2003s to get here. What is going on with the ordering process over there?

It was only a one day "warning" strike and not at Ingolstadt...
...but Neckarsulm where the A6's are built. This is a management decision and has nothing to do with the proletariat wage demands.
