Default My brakes are still squealing (B6 S4 fronts w/ Carbotech Bobcats)

I've had the Carbotech Bobcats on my B6 S4 front brakes since March. In the past 4 weeks, I've bed the brakes in 4 times (per Carbotech's guidelines) to alleviate the squealing (although they had been squealing since March). They stay quiet for about a week, and then start back up again. From what it says on PureMS website, as well as other members on here, the Bobcats are supposed to be low dust (which they are) and quiet (which they aren't except during hard braking). What should my next step be? If I can't get them to be quiet, I think I'm just going to throw on the stock S4 pads again. TIA for any help you can provide

Default Mine make a single squeak under light braking

And a humming under heavy braking. Slotted 345mm rotors, Bobcat pads, B6 S4 calipers.

The squeaking usually occurs only once during a slow stop approaching a red light. I just ignore it. But my stock pads didn't have this problem for sure. I had chalked it up to the slotted rotors vibrating strangely.

I assume you've done all the anti-squeal pad backing, cleaned the sliders, etc that could be causing vibration in the caliper?

Default Low dust, stop well, noise free, pick any two. Or, try a liberal amount of

brake grease on the backside of the pad.

Backside of the pad like the side that contacts the rotor? Or the side that sits in the carrier?

Side that makes contact with the carrier.

Default No, not too hard. Just take out the pads and apply the brake quiet stuff. Shouldn't take

very long.

Side touching the carrier, as GDawgA4 said. Put it on the other side, and you'll never stop!

high temp anti-seize on the "ears" as well to help the pads slide.
