Default My car is back from the service department. Here's what was done...

Ok, here's a recap...

Work done from last service:

1. Remove suspension blocks.

Work being performed on this service:

1. Fix radiator fan control module (runs continuously).
2. Fix Bose radio display (it's all garbled).
3. Fix the "creaking" noise coming from the rear deck.

Work done on this service:

1. Replaced radiator fan control module.
2. New Bose radio is on order.
3. Fixed the "creaking" noise coming from the rear deck.

"Creaking noise" - A bunch of service guys took it around the service lot and on side streets for 2 days and couldn't find anything. Finally, the service manager took the wheel, put another guy in the trunk, and drove it around to find the noise. They found it. Turns out it was where the seatback locking mechanism was located in the trunk. They put some white grease on it and they said it took care of the problem.

I pick up the car tonight...

Default Sounds like a good service department

Are you special (know dealer, regular customer) or just a normal customer that just bought a car?

Default We have to do that here all the time, really sucks for the tech when it's a TT

Then we have to use the "little guy"

Well I was a "normal" customer until they let me drive off with the car with the shipping blocks still in place - service #1 (let's just say EVERYONE at the dealer knows who I am now). Now, I get preferential treatment from the manager...

Why did you have the suspension blocks removed?

They're only meant for shipping the car.
