Default The EPA just reversed it stand on this and now they say diesels are better...

Thats why there are so many diesels coming out over the next 3-4 years. They actually are forcing the refineries to lower to sulfur content so that the latest generation of particulate traps can be used. It is simply no longer true to say that diesel particulate is more of a threat to the planet than gas engines.

My dad is waiting for the diesels to come back out in '07/'08 too!

Default As far as I know this is not true. Diesels are better in their gas emmisions...

...it's the particulate that was the problem. That's one reason why diesels are same to run inside mines.

Default It's the perfect combination for a daily driver...PD Diesels are fantastic...

1.9 TDI PD130 Quattro Avant with 6-speed manual...perfect...

You can get them chipped or add a tuning box for a really nice increase in torque and HP...

And still get 50mpg...

Default The new Peugeots have a Particular filter fitted as standard in the exhaust system...

It stores and then burns them off at a extremely high temp...I'm sure we will see this getting fitted to VAG diesels very soon...especially to meet Euro VI emissions...
