Default I hear ya...

some of this stuff surprises ya, and "common sense" says you would coat stainless like you would normal steel... Every solution has its own unique set of compromises, and there usually is no "one" right answer. It just stinks to have to find out the hard way! I didn't go 321 on my race car either due to cost, and Burns stuff is beautiful, but crazy expensive! When the manifold heats up, that big turbo really puts a load on the tubes who's strength dramatically falls off as the temp goes up. Additionally, chemical reactions occur at elevated temps causing the pipes to not only get weaker, but also more brittle. That lil' bracket is a big deal.. I am surprised it broke so fast though.

Default def need a brace... i remember tom ritt built one and the first day the brace broke...

there is alot of forces going on there... a brace would def help to prevent that happening again...
