The rims were running out a little past the wheel hubs. Couldnt fit more than 225 or they would rub. That offset could have hurt my car, and I knew it, but never had any problems related to that.

"..The hardcore racers don't like them. And rightly so since a tracked car is already stressed far further then any street driven car. I can see premature failure of wheel bearings."
A lot of it depends on how the car is treated. For day to day driving, I don't see it as being much of an issue. But that's not us, now is it![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Refer to your diagram, the kingpin inclination angle is defined by the suspension, specifically, the relationship between the lower an upper ball joints. You could move the wheel out 10 feet and not change that relationship.
You will, however, increase the contact patch offset (D in diagram), which will increase the moment about the vertical axis of the tire. This will increase the loads on the suspension (tie rods, steering links, etc.) as well as increase the caster forces (the force that returns the steering wheel to center after a turn). Most normal spacers won't cause a suspension failure, but it will increase loads. Spacers are really to be used with increased offset wheels in order to keep the tire in the same relationship to the vehicle.

I didn't say that it would affect the kingpin inc. itself, but that it would change the contact patch, which is directly related.
