my key fob just died...how do I get in?

it seems that you can unlock the door with the key, even if it is locked with the remote
I was worried, because if I did that on my subaru, it would scream and holler at me. It seems that the remote just locks the car remotely, the same way that it does when you manually lock the door with the key. If you lock the door with the key and unlock with the remote or vice versa, it doesn't matter. Hope that helps anyone else that's having this problem!
