Default Is my motor overfilled?

it occured to me today to check my oil levels since my service back in May..
This looks like too much oil; drastically too much or no?

Default perhaps, it could create more oil vapors in the crankcase ...

breather system resulting in oil residue in your intake hoses. I had this problem when the dealer overfilled mine to about the same amount as you show, and had to drain some of the oil off down to the full mark. To be safe, draining it down to the appropriate mark.

Default I think the fill level is between the kinks, not the hatched area

so it looks as though you are only very slightly over - but of course there's no knowing how much was in there 5 months ago in May.

Buy? I've yet to pay for one at the dealer. But I'm sure they're like $15 or something stupid!

Default Looks really dark, how many miles since changed? ...more..

Also, for future reference, to lower an overfill, it's much easier to draw oil from the dipstick tube instead of removing the drian plug.
