My reliable sources (from inside Audi) tell me...B8 will be coming sooner then most people think.
The 2nd coming of the RS4 will mark the end of the B7. The B8 should arrive as a 2007 or 2007.5.

That's old news. The B8 will be totally different with a new design in the tranny department...
They will also use the B8's chassis for the all new A6 in 2010.
