Default My ride died......

My wife calls to tell me, the car died. She was driving to go shopping (surprise, surprise) and was in the left lane doing about 50 MPH, when the gas cut off. She coasted into a gas station parking lot. Every time, she attempted to start the car it would start for about 2 seconds then die. The car is a 2003, Quattro, 5SPD with 28,888 miles on it. Any ideas of what it could be? The dealership hasn't called me back yet.

Default Fuel pump, mine went same symtoms...

The CEL doesnt light, the car just dies, it then starts and ticks over for approx 2 -10 secs then quits again.

Cost me £260 to get fixed thats $500

If its under warrenty your ok

The CEL does come on though after a day or 2
