Default N75 Level 2 preliminary testing shows nice boost increase...

As you can see in the following pictures, the Level 1 N75 sleeve (the green one I was previously running on my car that was dynod) is similar if not exactly the same as stock. The dyno showed negligible gains that may have been the result of average variance.

Well, I just finished installing the Level 2 sleeve (not pictured) which was red in color and slightly smaller than the Level 1 yet larger than the Level 3 (the silver one in the picture).

Previously, boost spiked to 23psi and held at around 20psi until 4500rpm or so. Currently I am seeing boost spikes estimated (the needle swung a bit past the 25psi cutoff) in the area of 27-28psi and it holds at 22psi until 4500rpm. This could mean some significant gains in torque. Jet Jockey recently dynod a similar concept from Dahlbach that resulted in gains of approximately 3 whp and 37lb/ft of torque at the wheels.

Needless to say I am extremely pleased and would like to make a tremendous thanks to Anthony at Greedspeed for rushing these parts out to me and sending them directly to Champion Motorsports where we could test them. I will be back at Champion with a couple of other toys for some more testing in a couple of weeks. Thanks again Anthony. Please give him a call at Greedspeed if you have any questions. Cheers! Mike

Do you also run special Revo code with this mod? I've read N75's are always friendly.

Default Thread Hijack - Mike & Jet Jockey (sorry!)

Hi guys.. desperately in need of your thoughts on this...

While driving today, my car suddenly stalled and wouldn't start back up. It would still turn-over and initially, would start up for half a sec., then die again. Called roadside and was flatbedded to dealer.

Went back there later tonite to Vag it to see if any error codes were thrown. There were none. Also, I tried starting the car up again and this time (about 4 hrs later), the car would only turn over but not start at all. Mine is an '03 1.8TQM w/ garrett potatoe..

Initially I thought maybe it was the ECU, but there were absolutely no fault codes coming from the engine, or anything else. So strange.
Right now, I'm thinking 3 possibilites.
Bad fuel pump.
Bad coil packs?
Bad immobilizer? (I tried all 3 of my keys also, didn't work).

I would seriously appreciate any thoughts you guys may have on this.

Thanks in advance.

Default I like your idea of fuel pump...coilpacks are usually more noticable in their jerkiness...

and you would expect a code. Your car starting up and dying make me doubt immobilizer. I do like your fuel pump guess. I was going to ask it you checked your fuel guage Let me know how we did at our wild a$$ guess of a diagnosis. Cheers! Mike

Default Nope...I just tried the Level 3 (size 50) now and it surges on my car. Too much for a car...

already peaking 1.6 bar. The Level 2 (size 55) seems to be on the money for my programming. We'll see. Cheers bud! Mike

Default The reason I thought fuel pump was actually because ...

... over the last few months, my fuel gauge would sometimes drop to the quarter full mark when I know theres at least a 3/4 tank left. Sometimes, it would stay at the quarter full mark even after a refill, then over the course of the day, slowly rise back to full.

Would this indication be more justification of fuel pump problems?
I did take notice that the fuel guage indicated the correct amt. of fuel in the tank all day today though, even during the times I was trying to start the car during these problems.
The last time I refueled was on Sunday.

Thanks for your help again Mike!
Hopefully the fuel pump is all it is.. I miss my car already. =T
