Didn't find many opinions about the Audi Nav system looking back through the forum. Anyone have it and like (or hate) it? I did see one comment somewhere that it was 'slow' getting started. Is that every time, or just when you change the disc? I expect to be able to start the car up, bang in a destination and head right out.

I have the nav system and I think it works great. All three of my last cars have had after market systems (alpine) and they worked fine. However, they were not as easy to use and much slower getting the calculations than the stock Audi unit.
The only difference with the Audi system is that the screen does not actually show a detailed street map. At first I thought it was a stupid idea not to have the detailed map, but after using the system I realize the safety benefit of having just the street name, directional arrow, compass, miles to destination, and miles to next action displayed is good idea rather than a map that tempts you to look at it and not the road. To sum it up I am very, very pleased with the nav.
